There is nothing remotely luxurious or high end about the experience and it completely sullied my time at the spa. You’re expected to shove your big winter coat and all your belongings in a tiny locker and put your wet winter boots on the floor where people also walk barefoot (??)
When you leave the spa, having to get fully dressed and put your coat and boots on in such a cramped, busy space is ridiculous.
And it doesn’t stop there! You’re then expected to be the housekeeper and lug your wet towel and robe up the stairs to the reception. The designers of the facility really dropped the ball on the experience of the changing rooms; its your first and last impression of the spa, and unfortunately at bota bota it really left a bad taste in my mouth.
The view was excellent especially in Winter when the lake froze.
Removed 1 star just for-
1. Moving my reservation for another day without notifying me.
2. Adding my email incorrectly because of which I didn’t receive the confirmation email to begin with.
The winter atmosphere added to the charm, with some saunas providing stunning views of the city while I warmed up inside. The spa features multiple saunas, steam rooms, and jacuzzis, all designed for comfort and relaxation. Each area is peaceful, making it easy to relax and enjoy the moment.
One of the highlights was the dining experience. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, which was a perfect way to recharge before heading off to Christmas festivities.
Overall, Bota Bota is a fantastic spot in Montreal for relaxation, great views, and tasty food. It’s an ideal getaway, and I can’t wait to visit again!
Thank you!
